Ayedaş, one of the three Enerjisa Distribution Companies together with Başkent EDAŞ and Toroslar EDAŞ which lead the energy transformation in Türkiye, sustains its services for a population of 5.5 million on the Anatolian side of Istanbul, the most populous and immigrant-receiving city in Türkiye. Maintaining its efforts to supply uninterrupted and high-quality energy, the company sustained its operations by adopting a customer- and solution-oriented approach in the first half of 2025 to supply more reliable and uninterrupted energy.
In line with its vision to have a better-lit Istanbul and to minimize adverse impacts of seasonal and geographical conditions, the company completed the maintenance works for a total of 19,288 lighting fixtures in Adalar, Ataşehir, Beykoz, Çekmeköy, Kadıköy, Kartal, Maltepe, Pendik, Sancaktepe, Sultanbeyli, Şile, Tuzla, Ümraniye and Üsküdar districts. Moreover, the company strengthened the energy infrastructure by checking and replacing 921 panels, 39 substations and 1526 distribution centers. In the same period, maintenance works were completed for 1394-kilometer-long lines, contributing to sustainable energy distribution.
Setting investment targets in line with the city's growing energy requirement, Ayedaş achieved these targets in the first half of 2025 in Istanbul, the city that connects continents. Laying a total of 8,514-kilometer-long new cables to supply uninterrupted and high-quality energy to a population of nearly 5.5 million that the company provides service; the company completed the installation works for 514 lighting fixtures and 326 lighting poles. Additionally, the company further strengthened its infrastructure by installing 222 panels and 44 substations.
Ayedaş commissioned contact voltage detection technology, which is the first implementation in the industry, in order to ensure grid security and strengthen the infrastructure. As part of the field trials conducted in February and March 2025, an area of 128.5 kilometers on the Anatolian Side of Istanbul was scanned and a service procurement contract was signed for a period of 6 months with the USA-based company, Osmose. Whilst the new technology enables accurate detection of any possible contact voltages in the grid, field teams intervene in these possible detections in a fast and effective manner.
