Ayedaş got its electricity distribution network prepared for the summer season.
Anadolu Yakası Elektrik Dağıtım A.Ş. completed the majority of its grid maintenance works that the Company spared 27 million TL for the first half of the year to provide high-quality and uninterrupted electricity to its customers during the summer season.
The required elements were replaced and provided maintenance at the Istanbul Anatolian Side following the winter season. Any unfavourable conditions that may result in breakdowns and interruptions were eliminated.
Hence, overhead line, building, lighting and other network inventories were provided maintenance; while the cells and buildings were cleaned and the remote-control systems for the cells were checked.
Priority was given to the poles, conductors and connectors that were damaged due to winter conditions; and building renovation, substation maintenance, earthing rehabilitation works, as well as insulator replacements, substation stage checks, substation oil control and replacement works were carried out.
Observation and preventive maintenance works carried out at 1718 substations to get prepared for the summer and complete any issues regarding the grids following the winter season.
During the maintenance works, building renovation works, substation maintenance works, load monitoring of the substations with low-voltage SCADA were carried out, systems within the buildings were checked, substation oils were checked and replaced, HVAC systems were checked.
Furthermore, other maintenance works were carried out, such as earthing improvement works were completed, intra-cellular inventories were cleaned, breaker points transition resistances and on-off periods were checked, LV-MV circuit breakers were checked and replaced, etc.
