Strategic Collaboration between Enerjisa Distribution Companies and Bayernwerk: An Opportunity for Employees to Gain International Experience in Germany

  • Standing out with its people-oriented approach and pioneering technologies in the industry, Enerjisa Distribution Companies, i.e., Başkent EDAŞ, Ayedaş and Toroslar EDAŞ, offer its blue-collar employees in Türkiye the opportunity to gain experience abroad, thanks to its collaboration with Bayernwerk, a subsidiary of E.ON. This pilot project will serve as a significant bridge for career development, cultural exchange, and the dissemination of knowledge.

The project is being launched as part of the strategic vision of Başkent EDAŞ, Ayedaş and Toroslar EDAŞ to strengthen the workforce, enhance industrial competencies and deepen international collaborations. The approaches formulated as part of the project promote the flow of information among institutions, while also offering considerable opportunities in the long term for industrial transformation and sustainable development. While the project was initiated with 20 employees, the goal is to include more employees in the following periods.

The signing ceremony that launches the project was attended by Oğuzhan Özsürekci, Managing Director of Enerjisa Distribution Companies, Philipp Ulbrich, CFO of Enerjisa Enerji, Işılay Yüksel Eratay, People, Culture & Administrative Affairs Director, and Sinem Yorulmaz, People, Culture and Development Group Manager, representing Enerjisa Distribution Companies. On the other hand, Bayernwerk was represented by Albert Zettl, People and Culture Deputy Managing Director, Dr. Julia Luxi, Head of Strategic Human Resources Management, Arman Bedikian, Head of HSE Policy & Health Management, and Dr. Stefan Burghard, Human Resources Manager, in the ceremony.

The Competency Map of the Turkish Energy Industry Expands

Stating that Enerjisa Distribution Companies, which place sustainability to the core of its strategy and leading the energy transformation in Türkiye with technology-oriented projects, stand out with its people-oriented activities, Oğuzhan Özsürekci, Managing Director, added: “This project is not just about sending our colleagues to Germany. The employees who are accepted to the program will acquire hands-on experience in a global working environment and enhance their professional and cultural development. They will contribute to the development of the industry by bringing their experiences and best practices back to Türkiye. Thus, they will be supporting the expansion of the competence map of the Turkish energy industry.”

Highlighting that the project also supports fundamental values including inclusiveness and volunteering culture, Özsürekci remarked: “Our objective is to prioritize not only technical but also social development. I strongly believe that this collaboration that enhances intercultural interaction is a significant step towards reaching a more integrated and competent workforce. At Enerjisa Distribution Companies, our goal is to offer our colleagues a fresh vision and instill long-term sustainable values to the industry.”
