Pioneering energy transformation in Türkiye with its vision of ‘A better future for all’ and sustaining their works towards the goal of high-quality, uninterrupted and sustainable energy, Enerjisa Distribution Companies, i.e., Başkent EDAŞ, Ayedaş and Toroslar EDAŞ, initiated the Summer Internship Program, SPARK, this year to encourage 170 university students to start their careers. Contributing to gaining new talents in the energy industry and to the country’s employment rates, SPARK Summer Internship Program provides support for university students with career and education opportunities.
Leading energy transformation in Türkiye by placing sustainability to the core of its business strategy, developing projects with a particular focus on human and technology and carrying out investments, Enerjisa Distribution Companies, i.e., Başkent EDAŞ, Ayedaş and Toroslar EDAŞ, sustain their career programs which will shape the future of the industry and contribute to employment.
The 2024 closing event of SPARK, which is the next generation summer internship program initiated by Enerjisa Distribution Companies in 2021, including personal development, coaching support, project work, technical visits, and project presentations stages, was held.
On the last day of SPARK, 170 participants, who have attended the internship program for twenty days and developed their projects and benefitted from various trainings and technical visits together with 28 project coaches, received their certificates to initiate their career journeys.
Over 8,000 Applications from 154 Universities in 3 Years
Undergraduates had great interest in the SPARK Summer Internship Program this year, which is applicable for junior and senior undergraduates studying at Electricity Electronics Engineering and Industrial Engineering departments, as well as Schools of Economics and Administrative Sciences or Social Sciences who reside in 12 provinces, particularly in Adana, Ankara, and Istanbul during the internship period.
4,827 applications from 154 universities were taken into consideration in 2024 and a total of 170 participants from 54 universities got the opportunity to attend the Spark Summer Internship Program. While 8,418 undergraduates from 154 universities applied in the past 3 years –in the period of 2022-2024–, 365 undergraduates from 54 universities attended the SPARK Summer Internship Program.
